Signup

Signing up is easy. You can call (781) 305-3319 to schedule over the phone or you can sign up online here. It takes less than 5 minutes to sign up and you can choose between a virtual or in-person assessment. You may have also seen us out in the community taking signups in-person. We have a lot of community partners, so if you have a favorite organization, they could get a donation just because you complete a Home Energy Assessment! Check out our current list here.

Approval Process

To be eligible for a Home Energy Assessment, you must live in a single-family home or a building with 2-4 units in Massachusetts. If you have had a Home Energy Assessment in the last 3 years, you aren’t eligible to sign up again. You don’t have to do anything during the approval process. We will confirm your eligibility with your utility and call you if any questions arise. If you live in a building with 5 or more units, click here. If you are on fuel assistance or a discounted utility rate, call 1-866-527-7283.

Home Energy Assessment

A Home Energy Specialist will assess your home and give you a custom home energy report with their findings. They will show you how you can save energy and money with energy efficiency upgrades and give you recommendations that will reduce your home’s energy consumption year-round. It’s all about learning about your home and what you can do to make it more energy efficient, so we recommend asking any questions you have about home energy efficiency.

HVAC Rebates & Incentives

After your assessment is complete, your Home Energy Specialist will give you information about accessing generous Mass Save rebates and incentives like 75% off insulation upgrades, 100% off air sealing improvements, up to $2,750 in heating and cooling system rebates, 0% financing for 7 years (up to $25,000), and no-cost items like programmable thermostats, advanced power strips, and water-saving devices. You get your no-cost items installed at the end of your assessment and our specialists will return to complete any additional work.

At HomeWorks Energy, we’re a one-stop-energy-efficiency-shop because we do it all. We can easily help you plan for any next steps like attic insulation, home air sealing, or an HVAC upgrade.
